Amesbury and Newburyport, Massachusetts

We stayed in a campground called Tuxbury Pond, which was located right on the State line, so half of it was in New Hampshire and half was in Massachusetts —that’s a first for us. We were camping on the New Hampshire side. The camp host told Shane that Pot was legal on one side of the campground —Why, she told him that, I don’t know, he doesn’t have the stoner vibe, I don’t think… Lol. A couple new fun facts for us. The campground also had a huge lake, but it was often cold and rainy while we were there, so we weren’t able to enjoy a kayaking experience, like I was hoping.

The closest town was Amesbury, which was filled with historic homes. It was a really cute little town, we had to do some grocery shopping and found a local market there, that reminded me of locally owned markets from when I was a kid. The next closest town was Newburyport, where Shane and I had dinner on his 60th birthday. Excellent food, drinks, and atmosphere. It was a church converted into a restaurant, very nice place to celebrate Shane’s 60th.

Loved the Blue Bridges, it was a common thing in this area, very pretty.
