Laramie, Wyoming - Ivinson Mansion and Town

The Ivinson Mansion/Museum was located close to Downtown Laramie, so we were able to explore both. The mansion had a fair amount i=of original pieces and replicas of the periods, e.g., the wallpaper and some of the tableware. The mansion was housed a family but years later it was a school for girls. The need for a central school stemmed from the distance the students would have had to travel if they'd not been in a boarding school. This little town is quaint yet small and not close to other towns or cities. I imagine it was even smaller and less populated in the day.

I have added a link below for more information on the mansion and towns history. The downtown area had a festival,  or something of that nature being set up, it looked to include vendors and music. We enjoyed lurch and checking out the buildings and old railroad. This definitely looked like it had been a  railroad town back when the Day.

This little stove is a small replica of the stoves they sold to the townsfolk. The salesperson could tote this around to give them a realistic version of the stove they'd be buying. I thought it was a kids toy when I saw it
