Hudson River, Poughkeepsie Railroad Bridge

We had a great adventure with our pups the Saturday after our visit to NYC. We discovered the Poughkeepsie railroad bridge, not far from the KOA we were camping at in New York.

It was a fairly good day for a walk, but extremely windy on our return over the bridge. We did get some pictures of the Hudson River. Would have liked more sunshine, it was a pretty cloudy day for pictures. The clouds really started getting darker, and the wind picked up toward the end of our walk. By the time we were driving back to the campground, it was raining hard. The thunderstorms that followed that night lasted for over three hours. Amazingly intense when you live in a trailer, almost scary.

Sojourner Truth Statue

Beautiful Carvings in the Dress of this Statue.
It tells her story, and her plight to legally get her son back from a slave owner, and she actually did. Excellent read on link above.
