New Orleans, French Quarter

We made it New Orleans, specifically the French Quarter. And, the well known Bourbon Street. Mardi Gras is soon and you can tell that people are starting the party now! We arrived around noon and it was starting to get crowded. We walked around for awhile then decided to have lunch at Mambo’s. Shane tried Alligator, and no, I didn’t even try a bite. He said it tasted like chicken. I chose a bbq shrimp dish which was delicious and light. We sat by an open window and observed two people selling marijuana products, voicing (yelling) competing messages with their bullhorns. It was hilarious and kind of obnoxious! So much for a quiet lunch.

After lunch we walked more, and visited a couple shops. Stumbled into a park area with an open space where people were reading tarot cards, selling art and performing. We loved seeing the unique architecture and colorfully painted houses and buildings.

We definitely enjoyed the New Orleans experience! We would have liked another day to explore, maybe next time!

๐Ÿ˜ŠHope you enjoy the pictures!!!
