Apache Trail/Canyon Lake Arizona

We drove the scenic Apache Trail and visited Canyon Lake and Superstition Mountain located in the Tonto National Forrest. This adventure was in Arizona during the month of December. 

We returned to this same area a second time when we visited Tortilla Flats and Goldfield Ghost Town. The Apache trail is a beautiful drive. The road was narrow and wound tightly in some areas. We went as far as the road allowed for a truck able to go a little off the grid. 

Canyon Lake would be great for boating, kayaking or a picnic, so peaceful and breathtaking. It’s definitely worth a second visit if we’re in the area again.

Port Orange, Florida —Ponce Inlet and Daytona International Speedway

We arrived in Port Orange, Florida Thursday February 23rd. I immediately didn’t like the RV park, and I still don’t. It’s old and run down with a train track that runs right behind the park, trains run all hours… they’re insanely loud! On a good note, I found a place to get a massage and decided to try a hymilan salt stone massage. It was wonderful, so relaxing!!! I highly recommend trying one. Once I was finished, Shane and I got lunch from Panera, yum! And then we found a great dog park for the dogs to play-in, and socialize. Afterwards, we decided to explore the beach front areas close to Port Orange, where we’re staying.  We stumbled upon Ponce Inlet while looking for a dog friendly beach.We thought we’d get to drive onto the beach in Daytona. Since we weren’t seeing anything, we headed for a lighthouse that was supposed to be close by. That’s when we discovered a park with a river area for dogs. Victoria BC, Canada

Our Ferry ride to Victoria BC. We enjoyed traveling there, as much as exploring. We stayed two nights in a hotel and had dinner in the pub next door after we settled in and planned our adventure.  We had breakfast in a cute diner where I became infatuated with a coffee mug, so I decided to buy one. We then went shopping at the local shops close to the hotel, and walked around just taking it all in while exploring interesting shops. I bought a wool hat and an oyster charms at a quaint Irish store. We toured the Craigdorrach Castle. We also visited the Royal BC Museum. Had a drink and desert at the Empress and took a plane ride out of Victoria Harbour.  Found a castle to visit                          Royal BC Museum ⬇️⬇️ I’m
