Our Travels

August 21st thru the 29th we stayed in a campground that one of the Thousand trails membership locations in Kelso, Washington near Longview/ During this time Shane and I were visiting family in both Rainier and Warren. Shane's father was close to passing while we were at the Beach and he wanted to get closer to help Pattie during this time, which was timely since he did pass a few days after we arrived. We didn't like the campground much since we were up higher on what felt like a ledge and the dog area was small and in a spot down below. I stayed at TJ and Lisa with the kids and got work done too. Shane went a trip to Fort Stevens to meet up with Brandon and Logan for one of the days. and while together he got a call from Pattie saying he had passed away.  We visited Mt St Helens while in the area on the 25th, not that impressive and since it was a national park we couldn't take our dogs to the view point. We were fortunate that a lady saw us leave our truck with the dogs ...

We stayed with my cousin, Sheri August 15th- 21st.  We arrived just tow hours after leaving Lincoln City. We parked in the back of her property where we could hook up to her electrical and water. It was a tight squeeze getting in but we got settled and the dogs were free to roam an acre which made them happy. It was nice to sit outside and visit, I painted and we watched the jets from the Hillsboro airshow. I was got eaten alive by huge mosquitos at her house and we went into town to visit Doren and Audra for dinner. We had the best sweet potato fry's at the brewery in Forrest Grove. Back at their house standing in the yard talking is where I was attacked again. The bites I received in both Carlton and Dayton were the worst I'd ever experienced. I was literally scarred. I loved spending time with my cousin but felt pulled in from work. I spent a couple days mostly in the RV. We did go for bike ride where I fell off, lucky I had a helmet, Lol. My pride was more bruised then anyt...

8/12/2022 Stayed at Premier RV Resort, Lincoln City  

August 12-15th we stayed at the Premier RV Resort three night and drove along the coast line. We visited the Devils Punch Bowl, Rocky Creek and Whale cove, were we saw a gray whale. We went also visited Depot Bay where we walked around the town and toured a small museum with history of the town. The park had live music one night and coffee and donuts on Sunday. We met Shane's brother, Rick at the Rusty Truck Brewery for a visit and dinner.    

My 57th birthday in Manzanita, Oregon, We had dinner at a local seafood restaurant  We stayed at the Netarts RV resort
